For the 2018 season I’m again working with my good friend Matt Gordon at Cully Neighborhood Farm to produce CSA shares in Portland, OR. Surf over to his site to get more details on that CSA.
I’ve been working with Matt for the past two seasons and in 2017 at the Cully site I also grew a patch of polenta corn, dry beans, and winter squash. Most of the squash ended up in the CSA shares, but a good big of Marina Di Chioggia, a beautiful big storage squash, is available for sale along with the corn and some of the beans. Details for ordering are in this blog post.
I started the Slow Hand Farm CSA in 2009 and ran it for four years before folding it into a new farm. Archives from those beginnings can be found at the old CSA blogspot site. In 2013 I folded the CSA into a project initiated by Community By Design which became Our Table Cooperative. In 2016 I started working with my friend Matt at Cully Neighborhood Farm and I also grew a bit of corn, beans and squash for sale on the side at a nearby site. I’ve continued to use the Slow Hand Farm name for sales of the corn, beans and squash and for the consulting, contract, and design work that I do with Cully Neighborhood Farm and many others.
